Jimmy Cameron was born on April 1 1965.  He and his wife Karen reside in Sanford, North Carolina.  Jimmy is no stranger to the bluegrass music scene and brings many years experience to the job of bass player for the Stanley band.  He has performed as mandolin player for Al Batten and the Bluegrass Reunion and played bass for David Parmley & Continental Divide.  He also had is own group for a time which was called "Jimmy Cameron & High Lonesome " and recorded a CD under that name featuring him playing mandolin and singing.  Jimmy is also now driving the big blue Ralph Stanley bus and has the important responsibility of getting the band to the shows safely and on time.  His driving credits include working for Del McCoury on the "Down From The Mountain Tour" a few years back and he has also driven for Doyle Lawson, David Parmley and Dolly Parton.  When not on the road Jimmy enjoys farming and rabbit hunting and raises some good rabbit dogs.  Since joining the band in June of 2009, Jimmy has become a welcome addition to the Clinch Mountain Boys.
