Todd Meade

Todd Meade

Todd Meade, 18 year old son of John and Sharon Meade from Nickelsville, Virginia, is the new fiddler for The Clinch Mountain Boys.  He is a 2003 graduate of Twin Springs High School and has been playing for ten years. Before joining the ranks of being a full time musician, Todd played with a regional group called “Twin Springs”.  His fiddle is French made around the 1920’s. Todd’s old-time sound keeps toes tappin’ during breaks and fiddle tunes.  In his spare time, Todd is also the fiddle instructor at Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap, Va. (For information on the class, contact the college at 276-523-7464).  His greatest inspiration was his great grandfather, "Uncle" Charlie Osborne.  Charlie played for Todd when Todd was only eleven days old and Todd tried to play his first fiddle at the age of eleven months.  He has been playing since the age of eight.  Todd has already been winning the hearts of audiences all over the country with his friendly smile and spirited fiddling.  He is a welcome new addition to the band!
